mechanical bonds
Our Yellowell Rosin Paste Flux is used to facilitate soldering. It cleans and prevents metal oxidation which allows the solder to create strong, long-lasting mechanical and electrical bonds. It also acts as a wetting agent, increasing the flow of solder and the efficiency of the soldering process.

Why Yellowell Rosin Paste Flux
Solder cannot bond without it! For the solder to do its job, it needs a good flux, that removes the oxides and sets the stage for soldering.
The solder follows the flux as if the flux was clearing a path for the solder and telling it where to go. For many soldering applications, using only flux-core solder wire is sufficient, but by using our Yellowell Rosin Paste Flux you’ll have more control over where the solder will travel, it will expedite the soldering process and results in a stronger connection that protects the solder joint from external damage.
To obtain the best results, always use extra flux!
A KEY component
Yellowell Rosin Paste Flux is essential in forming good joints. For soldering electronics, the rosin acts as flux, which helps prevent oxidation and promotes bonding.
Use a small paintbrush or your fingers to scoop up a small amount of soldering flux. Spread the flux over the area you will be soldering, making sure to cover the wires fully. Wipe any excess flux off your fingers or brush before soldering. Soldering flux is only corrosive once it is heated up and in its liquid form but it is better to be careful.
